bahama snapshots
Tried a little something different | Memories - Film - Kodak - Kickback
Stepped away from the 1080/120 world and did some normal 4K 24fps shooting. Specifically for IG in this one so a lot of it filmed vertically. I've thought about how filming vertically would affect future content in case I wanted to use it in normal videos (non-mobile). But TBH mobile content is never going away and I don't think smartphones will really change. It's far to natural to have the shape of the phone the way it is and view content on instagram vertically (unless folding phones really advance).
I slapped on a kodak LUT, crushed the shadows, and gave a heavy vignette. One thing I forgot to do was duplicate the layer and bloom the highlights to give that dreamy vibe. Tried to give sort of a kodaky old movie vibe and contemplated going something more like "picture memories". First render was 5fps and idk my shots just aren't composed well enough to pretend like each clip could be a picture on it's own. So I looked up what the FPS was on old movies and tried out the 15fps. A part of me really likes the way it looks and the other half thinks it looks like someone that just rendered a crappy video off a free mobile editing app. Kinda like watching snapchats from android phones.

interactive "animals" | Experience - Free - Observe - Breathe
I heard this song and thought this vibe fit with it. Clean, pure, carefree night of hanging out with the girlfriend. Trip to the museum and went to the Christmas pop-up bar afterwards.
No slomo in this one, felt more like a POV experience so I think everything was filmed 4K 24fps.
